The project consortium consists of two teams with highly complementary profiles and matching resources.
The CPST Department of nanoengineering is mainly providing the competence and infrastructure in the fields of surface science, nanofabrication. The group members also have adequate experience in model life science including protein-protein interactions, membrane biophysics and single cell technologies. The necessary infrastructure for basic cell culture-related activities will be built during the implementation of the project.
The EPFL Laboratory of Protein Engineering brings the necessary competence and infrastructure in protein labeling and metabolite sensing technologies, synthetic and cell biology. Importantly, it is highly competent and equipped in super-resolution microscopy.
